Who are No Fixed Point?
No Fixed Point are a Liverpool-based acoustic duo who have redefined what a two-piece can deliver. John Roberts (vocals/guitar) and Josh Boekhoudt (guitar/backing vocals) combine Scouse grit with Caribbean influence to create a live sound far larger than the sum of its parts.
Refusing to be confined to a single genre, the duo specialise in storytelling originals and high-impact arrangements.
Their performances move seamlessly from intimate moments to full-room energy, with their acoustic interpretation of Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff” remaining a consistent crowd highlight.
Our sound
No Fixed Point deliver a pop/rock/reggae fusion built around two acoustic guitars that sound like a full band. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Boyce Avenue, Mike Dawes, This Wild Life, Deaf Havana and Catfish and the Bottlemen, the duo blend tight songwriting with dynamic live energy.
Josh, originally from Aruba, brings a strong Latin, reggae and ska influence to the rhythmic foundation of the music. Combined with extensive use of effects pedals, this creates a layered, driving sound that feels far bigger than a traditional acoustic duo — a captivating full-band experience that has to be seen to be believed.
